Today, the Portsmouth Young Marines were deeply honored to watch the famous USMC Silent Drill Platoon perform at Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, New Hampshire. We not only were able to watch them, but were later able to go down to the field and meet-and-great with the skilled Marines. Video of the event is from WMUR. Thank you and Oorah to the men of the USMC Silent Drill Platoon!

Memorial Day 2011
The Portsmouth Young Marines were honored this year to remember our veteran's service. The unit marched in the Memorial Day Parade in Portsmouth, and participated in a ceremony at the USS Albacore park. Here they are meeting the Mayor of Portsmouth, Thomas G. Ferrini.
Good job Young Marines, Oorah!

The Portsmouth Young Marines is now dual affiliated with both the Young Marines and BSA.  While continuing our primary mission as a Young Marine unit, we have also become a Venture Crew in an attempt to broaden the opportunities available to our members.
